If for any reason concerning our responsibility we do not meet your expectations, Peru Alive will refund your money; being the only company that offers you this possibility; because our actions as a company are guided by the philosophical principle of "Ainy", which is closely related to the universal principle of action and reaction; principles that oblige us to conduct ourselves ethically and correctly in all actions as a person and as a company.
.In Peru Alive we have a policy of permanent supervision and self-evaluation of our services, (logistics, Staff, supplies), in search of permanent improvement in quality.
REASON 6:
OUR LOGISTICS, WITH TENTS AND EXCLUSIVE BATHROOMS
On some routes, there are latrines that serve as bathrooms, but sometimes these are not adequate enough. On other routes, these latrines do not exist.
In Peru Alive we bring our own bathroom tents, functional and hygienic, in all places where it is allowed to put them, we put them, especially for lunch hours, and in the places where we camp. (In some places it is not allowed to put up these tents and you will have to use what exists), but the Peru Alive Staff will do something nice about this matter.
We are constantly improving and renewing our implements and camping logistics, to guarantee an adequate and optimal service to our travelers; Before each trip, the equipment goes through a functionality review, and after each trip, they are checked for their respective maintenance, or renewal, as appropriate
REASON 7:
WE ARE LOVERS AND RESPECTFUL OF NATURE. WE HELP WITH SOCIAL AND ECOLOGICAL PROJECTS:
As far as possible we avoid leaving negative footprints everywhere we go when carrying out our activities, we handle waste responsibly, we participate in cleaning and awareness campaigns on proper waste management, and at all times we act with great respect for our big house the planet earth, (our mother, the Pacha Mama). For this purpose we inform, educate, and make our Staff aware permanently.
Peru Alive, participates in social and ecological projects, in the firm commitment to cooperate in the communal social welfare and in the care and protection of the environment in the different communities of the places where our porters come from.
REASON 8:
PERU ALIVE, WE ARE THE FULFILLMENT OF A COMMUNITY PROJECT, A FAMILY, A LIVING SCHOOL
The founder, from a very young age, was committed to the affairs of the community where he was born, where the main activity was family farming, its members are mostly illiterate, and most of them have the only Quechua language.
Wilbert Yucra was trained (with a lot of effort) professionally in tourism, he worked for different tourist companies, as a Guide, and as Tour Leader, for more than 15 years. In an effort to cooperate with his native community, he decided to prepare a tourism project. This is how Peru Alive was founded, by the Yucra family, plus other members of the community (cook porters). Today we continue the mission through Peru Alive, cooperating with our families from the native community, revaluing and contributing to the dissemination of our culture (material and immaterial) of the native and traditional Andean Amazonian world, in its various expressions, learning, teaching, and helping.
We cooperate with our fellow citizens from here, guardians and natural heirs of material and immaterial culture (goods and tourist attractions); with a serious project of an entire generation, today called Peru Alive; where the top executive and the last operator we are a great spiritual fraternal brotherhood, sharing and helping each other, always taking care of our big house, Pachamama and her children, our peers and those who live in it.
Our Staff has health insurance. When someone from the Peru Alive family suffers an unexpected situation of considerable affectation, which harms him/her, or her family, Peru Alive is there, committed to actions for the respective assistance.
At Peru Alive, we learn permanently, through workshops, group talk activities, and other similar ones; We always operate under the principle of the great philosophy of “Ainy”.
REASON 9:
THE "PORTER" WHO IS HE? HOW MUCH DO THEY GET?, WHAT DO THEY EAT?
It is a question that many visitors ask themselves or ask us... sometimes they make conjectures and believe that they are slaves.
They are our brothers and sometimes our sisters, members of our community, and others from neighboring communities, whose main activity is family farming, and they work with Peru Alive, alternating with family farming. Wilbert, who runs Peru Alive, started in this industry as a "Porter".
They are an essential part of the Peru Alive Staff, they are the people who transport the logistics for the Treks (all the food, the camping equipment, the travelers' belongings, etc.); Our porters carry a maximum of 15 kilos of company luggage (plus 5 kilos, which are their personal belongings), in total, they carry a maximum of 20 kilograms of weight.
In Peru Alive, the porters eat the food that our tourists eat, but we add other components and ingredients; Due to the type of work that is carried out, certain variations in the food diet are required, but there is always adequate and sufficient food for us.
