In the conception, understanding, and spiritual philosophy of our life and that of our grandparents, in our Andean-Amazonian community, our "Apukuna or Apus" was and is considered a very important deity.
"Apu Ausankaty," which is a name in the Quechua language, is also the name of the highest mountain in the department of Cusco, reaching its peak at a height of 6,385 meters (20,948 feet) above sea level. It is located in the Cusco region in the southeast direction.
Its history dates back to pre-Columbian times, which was also recorded in various reports by chroniclers who arrived at the "Tawantinsuyo" empire, where they cataloged it as one of the most important "Apus" of the empire. It was also considered one of the main "wakas" (sacred sites) of the Cusco region.
In the Andean worldview, it is considered one of the sacred places for performing "K'arpay" practices (initiatory rites of Andean priesthood).
This will be a journey of "Ayni" (reciprocity), spiritual connection, meditation, sharing, relaxation, etc., which includes small workshops and practices on spirituality and "Andean Cosmogony". This date has been chosen because it is a very favorable time for offerings to "Pachamama" (Mother Earth).
ERY IMPORTANT: The participant is not obligated to make a monetary payment, as this service is free. However, your completely voluntary contribution (financial or in-kind) will be valuable, which will help us cover the trip expenses (transportation service, Guide service, "Paq'o" (Andean priest) service, supplies for offerings, camping equipment, food, etc.). This, in turn, allows us to continue with these types of free services in future opportunities. You can also bring some products or food items to share with the brotherhood of participants (for meals or snacks)... we all have something to share! Lastly, bring your heart with love and respect for "Pachamama", "Apu Ausankaty", and your "Runamasis" (fellow humans).
